MES Group collaborated with The Lunz Group to renovate and expand a 115-acre recreational/athletic complex for Osceola County back in 2018. The Austin-Tindall Park is located just under 10 miles from the Orlando International Airport. This expansion and improvement project consists of four new multi-purpose fields and a championship soccer stadium that can accommodate up to 3,000 spectators. The Park was originally constructed in 1993, the 100-acre complex was the practice facility for the 1994 Moroccan World Cup and the 1996 Japanese Olympic Soccer Teams. In addition to soccer, Austin-Tindall hosts a variety of events with more than 30,000 athletes annually playing rugby, football, flag football, lacrosse, field hockey, ultimate Frisbee, and more.
The renovation included two new buildings. One is multi-purpose and used for concessions, restrooms, storage, meeting rooms, and pavilion. The second building is an ice house with golf cart charging stations.
MES Group provided MEP engineering for the two new buildings. The electrical engineering incorporates a complete MUSCO turn-key athletic field and sports lighting system, scoreboards, and site electrical distribution.
