MacDill AFB Renovate Hangar 2 for Additional KC135s

MES Group was Designer of Record and provided full AE design services for the 31,290 SF renovation to accommodate assigned personnel and operations for eight additional KC135 aircraft. The interior space which included new restrooms, locker rooms, offices, breakrooms, hazmat storage area, and two new aircraft tool storage rooms. Significant to this project was the design of a new fall protection restraint system and the relocation of the Jack Test Stand from the hangar bay to Building 552.

MES Group was Designer of Record and provided full AE design services for the 12,082 SF Secure Computing Facility (SCF) and the 21,634 SF Supercomputing Resource Center (SRC) which is utilized for IT research by the U.S at the Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Army. All areas conform to SCIF requirements. The SCF had (2) 4,200 SF supercomputer bays with a 48” raised floor. Both buildings included sustainable design, antiterrorism and force protection requirements.
